He is a FOGS. That’s not a racial epithet. It’s my little acronym for Friend of George Soros.

“Let me be clear, I think that Barack and Michelle Obama are more like Susan than they are like Fidel and Che.”

Don’t be so sure. Anyone who hangs out with Soros and his minions will never get my vote. These “citizens of the world” will do whatever it takes to undermine the security and sovereignty of the United States. They do not believe in classical constitutional democratic republican government. They have totalitarian leanings and suffer from the philosopher king syndrome. Unfortunately our Marxist government school system is turning out more and more each year. The irony is that Soros came from the same part of the world as two of the staunchest supporters of U. S. security and military predominance the two quintessential cold warriors John von Neumann and Edward Teller. They are probably turning over in their graves. I wish to God that we had a few Neumanns and Tellers today!gxmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06047041022663855321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1625076107995960519.post-9236954375457863972008-02-20T13:49:00.000-05:002008-02-20T13:49:00.000-05:00The Thunder Run has linked to this post in the - ...The Thunder Run has linked to this post in the - Web Reconnaissance for 02/20/2008 A short recon of what’s out there that might draw your attention, updated throughout the day...so check back often.David Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18153191536633461987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1625076107995960519.post-15357499858430174742008-02-19T15:12:00.000-05:002008-02-19T15:12:00.000-05:00The honesty of the Pro-Obama commenters is useful....The honesty of the Pro-Obama commenters is useful. It is misguided, but not mean-spirited.

LIBERAL:
This is why I support Obama because I believe that he pushes for a better, diverse US that "maybe" will unite us as a country and quit segregating us based on our skin color.

You're correct, YBM, to point out that we're already diverse and tolerant. And there's an important case to press about the costs and benefits of our "diversity," and about what standards, within this diversity, must be kept uniform (i.e., not "diverse") to maintain a robust nation.

Leftists should be called out immediately for statements like the following:

PROGRESSIVE
I believe the world hates us because we are racist and ethnocentric (me being a part of the problem with all of you.) I think there is a big possibility of Obama changing this image in the right way (consciousness raising rather than through a violent revolution.)

Short-sighted and self-loathing, but again, he's being honest and deserves an honest reply. To wit: saying that Obama's promise is to change America's image is alarming. Image -- or rather, impressions and the attitudes they foster -- is important, but it is only a means to an end. For Obamophiles to fix on that betrays their sentiment that the purpose of international affairs and foreign policy is for us all, a la Rodney King, to "just get along."

(Pardon me if this repeats some of the points of your post, YBM. Stimulating post. We have a long, long way to going engaging and persuading ... anybody ... during this election.)Jeremayakovkahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00741574721409282988noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1625076107995960519.post-17905734638354334642008-02-19T12:43:00.000-05:002008-02-19T12:43:00.000-05:00YBM,I couldn't agree more concerning the newspeak ...YBM,
I couldn't agree more concerning the newspeak disclaimer from the Obama campaign. It was written so carefully so as not to separate itself from the historically blind campaign supporters wearing those Che t-shirts.
I admire the idealism of these young skulls full of mush, but am appalled by their Jr. League (please pardon the analogy) attitude of our nation. The United States was not established to do "good" for the World. It was established under a set constitution to allow its citizens to pursue their own dream without threat of government restriction or whim. Charity, or doing good, is what people choose to do with their own money. The Jr. League votes on the decision of what to do for their charitable act for the community.
In recognition of the line between church and state, I do not want my soul "fixed" by a political messiah, that is the role of my God and Savior. I am astounded by the willingness of the Left to apply spiritual necessities to the state. It's the Jr. League-ification of government. The next shoe to fall is totalitarianism which brings job loss (see my story at this site), threat of mental health incarceration (because anyone that disagrees is obviously insane) and ultimately, as Che and Fidel demonstrated, death to those that disagree.
I would counter the "change" mantra with the question, "How about actually following the Constitution?" That would be a welcome change!Nancy Coppockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01938274161807178689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1625076107995960519.post-63078919125205988102008-02-19T08:37:00.000-05:002008-02-19T08:37:00.000-05:00Yaacov, everytime i come here, I catch something n...Yaacov, everytime i come here, I catch something new and profound. To be honest, I didn't even think of the comment by Obama regarding Che being offensive to Cuban-Americans as being other than what it was.

But you are exactly right (and one of the reasons I find myself drawn here again and again) the Che/Cuban flag is offensive for his crimes and they were many, and bloody!

Thanks my friend. I'm so glad you write this blog. The ideas are always stupendous and the presentation equally so.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
