It was that parsed 'try' in the principal's support that caught my attention.

The scene in the movie The Killing Fields where the sassy girl in the re-education camp went to the chalk board and severed the chalk line connecting the parent and child comes to mind. The girl then became the camp assassin and every adult shivered in fear when she approached. This is what is happening in our government run schools. The children know how to destroy teachers they don't like and administrators crumble rather than act like adults.

Haing Ngor, the actor portraying Dith Pran in the movie survived the real Killing Fields of Pol Pot, only to be murdered by gang outlaw adolescents in Los Angeles.

Liberalism brings destruction and death. I encourage each reader to visit my own site and read "We Are At War!" We have the power to shut all this down, with or without leaders.Nancy Coppockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01938274161807178689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1625076107995960519.post-45367354061487706702007-07-15T21:37:00.000-05:002007-07-15T21:37:00.000-05:00Nancy, my own uncle was a tremendously successful ...Nancy, my own uncle was a tremendously successful and popular teacher in one of Mass.'s best high schools (Belmont), also an athletics coach, and a creative (not to say harsh) disciplinarian. (Which was one of the reasons he was so popular!)

Then the day came after he had mildly humiliated some troublemaking punk...and the Principal said he'd "try to protect him if he'd apologize to the kid."

Uhhhhhhh....NO. I encouraged him to go, fly, live a good life, be free.

The historical-spiritual parallel, in my mind at least, is strikingly obvious. The Beast gets furious at the one thing he cannot manipulate: when one meekly and willingly takes on the burdens another cannot bear. Amazing. The Beast is definitely at work in our schools. One only has to see high school graduates unable to read or write to recognize it.

Silliness abounds in every school district. I traced some bits of the stupidity that trapped me to The Children's Defense Fund and the past work of now-Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY). I believe they initiated the idea that students can not be punished because of actions due to their handicap. On the surface, this sounds noble, but just as YBM had mentioned in the previous post - Two First Encounters - there are monsters lurking beneath the quiet waters. Aren't serial killers mentally disturbed? Do we really want a society in which a teacher seeing a student torturing an animal does nothing? This is where we are heading, folks.

My own encounter happened 16 years ago. How much further down the road do the Beast tracks lead? The fact that the schools are besotted with silly immature teachers having sex with adolescents should alert everyone that reading, writing, and math are as far from the classroom as one can get. Unless you are in class with your own child, don't believe it can't be happening in your backyard. The foul smelling drool of the Beast is probably at your own local campus. Be warned.Nancy Coppockhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01938274161807178689noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1625076107995960519.post-20505526647071006722007-07-12T00:06:00.000-05:002007-07-12T00:06:00.000-05:00Exactly right, Jim. It is the secular humanist lack of boundaries between one person and another and the fudamentalist religion's aggressive attack on the boundaries between the individual and the religion that make them common enemies of liberty and responsibility.Yaacov Ben Moshehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16711165551258127500noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1625076107995960519.post-30437019933546180492007-07-11T23:31:00.000-05:002007-07-11T23:31:00.000-05:00My daughter is a psychologist. Many of her patien...My daughter is a psychologist. Many of her patients for the last ten years have been disturbed children.

I'm sure she would have identified with this story. Sop many of our young people are not getting the help they need from the schools. They especially need help in establishing boundaries that allow them to see themselves and others as individuals. Lack of boundaries and enmeshment create dysfunctions that can lead to anti-social acts.

Many schools are unwilling to get these kids the help they need. It's too much trouble......as in Duane's case. Process them through and get them out of the institution. So what if they are misfits and may become a danger to themselves or others? Out of sight out of mind.

This is a very sad story because Nancy is still suffering from this unfortunate episode. I hope she can file it away in her memory bank as a valuable experience in which she learned something about secular humanist values. Hopefully, in the fullness of time, Nancy will recognize that the "human bonfire" can temper our souls and make us stronger. Good luck, NancyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1625076107995960519.post-24017015653739325792007-07-11T21:22:00.000-05:002007-07-11T21:22:00.000-05:00Note: This comment was posted about this story by ...Note: This comment was posted about this story by mdd on Marverick News Network I am reposting it here.

F..kin' shame, and sham.

I'm glad you picked this story, it shows the Beast is right here teaching our children. And worse, not teaching them at the same time.

Ruined lives, for the sake of the beast.

Thank you Nancy, for your story, and God Bless.Yaacov Ben Moshehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16711165551258127500noreply@blogger.com
